Certified Transport Registered Nurse Exam CTRN Test Preparation Study Guide
The purpose of the Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN) Exam offered by the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN) is not only to check the candidates ability to learn but also to test their understanding of all they have already learned. The CTRN test is conducted with the goal of using a standardized test process to create an objective assessment of a candidates knowledge and skills. The Certified Transport Registered Nurse certification indicates specialization in providing nursing care to patients during ground transportation. This is very different from CFRN where the nursing facilities are required during flight transportation of the patient.
Format Of Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN) Exam:
The CTRN exam format includes multiple choice questions. The computer administers 155 multiple-choice questions of which 130 questions are scored and the other 25 questions are for pretesting. The candidate is expected to complete the exam in a maximum time of three hours. No electronic devices are allowed in the testing centers.
