Family Nurse Practitioner Exam Test Preparation Study Guide


The Family Nurse Practitioner certification is offered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and ensures higher level of specialization in education of treating patients all age groups. A Family Nurse Practitioner can treat both pediatric and elderly members of a family who are suffering from acute or chronic diseases and can also address the psychosocial issues that may be affecting the family. The Family Nurse Practitioner test is taken as part of the Family Nurse Practitioner - Board Certified (FNP-BC) credential.

Format Of The Family Nurse Practitioner Certification Exam:


The Family Nurse Practitioner Certification Examination is a computer based exam. There are a total of 175 questions in this exam. Of these, 150 questions are scored while 25 queastions are pre test.These pretest questions are included to determine how well they perform if added in the scored section.Since distinguishing pre test questions from the scored is not easy, it is important that the candidates answer all the question.
