Certified hospice and palliative nurse or the CHPN exam is conducted by national board for qualifications of certified hospice and palliative (NBQCHP). These nurses are specialized in serving the patients that are suffering form the hard times of their lives. These nurses help in supporting the families of patients that are facing the end time of their life.
Eligibility for CHPN - Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse Exam
In order to give this exam the candidate must acquire the current license as a registered nurse. It is suggested that the registered nurse can have at least two years experience for serving the patients at their last moments of life.
Format for CHPN - Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse Exam
This CHPN exam is as a whole consist of 150 multiple choice questions out of which 135 questions are referred under scoring and 15 questions are kept for pre-testing that means they are not scored. The CHPN examination lasts for around three hours. Fees for these exams are defined $295 for those having membership under HPNA and $395 for non-members. The subjects designed for the preparation are mentioned as following-

Candidates arriving after 15 minutes form the timings will not be acceptable to give this exam. They must report to exam supervisor for their results after the exam.
