GACE Chemistry Exam Study Guide

Candidate needs to appear in GACE Chemistry Exam for practicing in Georgia State as a chemistry Educator. Candidate needs to file application to GPSC for certification. Candidate should be careful while filling in the registration form and even writing the answer document. The most important thing that should be remembered by the candidate is signing the answer sheet without which the scores will be declared null and void.

Candidate needs to create his own account on the online forum of the GPSC to get time to time updates from the board regarding the application form. Candidate can receive his scorecard on his mail account after the result gets declared.

Eligibility for GACE Chemistry Exam


To appear in GACE Chemistry Exam, candidate has to meet all the eligibility conditions required by the GPSC board. For renewable certification candidate should have bachelor degree and certification from the state approved college. If candidate does not possess the state approved certification, he/she can still apply for the certification however for the non renewable one. Candidate should complete the required certification within the given time period to compete for the renewable certificate.

Format of GACE Chemistry Exam


GACE Chemistry Exam is composed of two subtests. Sub test I is about atomicity and chemical bonding and energy levels. The former one includes 36 objective questions and the latter one includes 24 objective questions. Sub test I also includes two subjective questions; one from each topic. Sub test II includes chemical reactions and basics of chemical science. There are 60 objective questions in total in sub test II and 2 subjective questions.

The scoring of GACE Chemistry Exam is done on the scale of 300, out of which 220 are the minimum marks required to get the certification. If the Candidate falls short of the marks in the exam, then he is liable to appear again for the same after 30 days.
