Veterinary Certification Exams

The branch of medicine that is concerned with the use of medical, diagnostic, dental as well as surgical principles in the treatment of animals is known as Veterinary medicine. Two most important veterinary certification examinations are: North American Veterinary Licensing Examination NAVLE Veterinary Technician National Exam VTNE

North American Veterinary Licensing Examination NAVLE:

Developed in November 2000 after it replaced the National Board Examination (NBE) and the Clinical Competency Test (CCT)
Is required to practice as a veterinarian in North America
Administered in computer based format.
Consists of 360 multiple choice questions

Veterinary Technician National Exam VTNE:

Administered by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB)
Exam is taken at Prometric Testing Centres throughout the US and Canada.
VTNE is administered in computer-based format.
Consists of 200 multiple-choice scored questions
