Test of English for International Communication Study Guide


The TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) is an English-language proficiency test for people whose native language is not English. The test is taken to measure the everyday English skills of people working in an international environment. The test does not require specialized knowledge or vocabulary beyond that of a person who uses English in everyday work activities

Format Of The Test of English for International Communication(TOEIC):


The TOEIC is offered in multiple-choice format. The test is divided into following two sections:

Listening:

This section tests a candidates capability to understand spoken English. This section is further divided into four parts which include 100 questions. These 4 parts are:
Photographs
Question-Response
Short Conversations
Short Talks
Time alloted to this section is approximately 45 minutes.

Reading:

This section tests how well a candidate understands written English. This section consists of the following 3 parts which consist of 100 questions:
Incomplete Sentences
Error Recognition
Reading Comprehension
Tim e alloted to this section is 75 minutes.
