Your Minds Calendar

Its a tool for prioritizing, managing, and exe-cutting everything you need to do with less stress. To use it, follow these steps.

STEP 1

GET A CALENDAR

A calendar is something which shows the relationship between minutes, hours, days, and weeks. So its a really helpful too to see your responsibilities along with how much time you have to do them. Take a calendar that works for you. They are of two types. Physical and Electronic. You have to make sure that your calendar shows the hours of the day. Also make sure you can record information next to those hours. You might get the paper calendar from the school. Electronic calendars for your phone, tablet, or computer include iHomework, Google Calendar, and others.

Basically select the calendar of your choice because you have to use it for doing your work.

STEP 2

MAKE A TO-DO LIST

This should include everything you have to do; not just the school work. Put down studies, watching TV, clubs, dance practice, sports, time with friends, and anything else you need to do.

STEP 3

PRIORITIZE YOUR TO-DO LIST

Remember: Your time is precious. You simply do not have enough time to do everything, and if you try to do, its troublesome. You end up juggling too many things at once, starting things you cant finish, and getting frustrated. In order to avoid this, you need to prioritize your work decide whats more and less important.

STEP 4

FILL IN YOUR CALENDAR

Start filling your calendar by writing down things that you always do or that are part of your regular life. These are like time for lunch, school etc. Add those to the hours when you do them.

STEP 5

CHECK YOUR CALENDAR AT REGULAR TIMES

You need to check the calendar regularly to remind you what you have to do. It has a zero value if forgotten and neglected in the bottom of a backpack. We recommend checking of the calendar at these three important times every day:

1. In the morning before you go to school, to preview your day.

2. After school, to keep you on task for homework and other after-school activities.

3. Before going to bed, to make sure you did everything you had to do that day, and to preview the next day.

You will also want to check you calendar anytime something new or unexpected comes up during the day. If you want to go out along with your friends , you need to make sure there is not anything else you should be during that time instead.

STEP 6

DO YOUR WORK

Now all thats left is doing the work you put down in the time slots. If you wrote that you would study for your Math test from 8:00 to 9:00, thats what you should be doing then.
