Professional practice in psychology examination allows you earn certification to practice psychology. This examination is administered and managed by the association of state and provincial psychology boards. The examination is taken twice in a year and this examination is mandatory to earn the licensure.

Social and Multi-cultural Bases of Behavior: This portion of the exam deals with candidates knowledge of diversity and groups and how these groups are able to interact.

Growth and Life Span Development: this section covers typical life patters and life span development factors.

Assessment and Diagnosis: in this section candidates abilities to assess the situation and diagnose the problem accurately and within guidelines are assessed.

Treatment, Intervention and Prevention: This section will test candidates knowledge of intervention and prevention theories used for individuals, groups and families.

Research Methods and Statistics: This portion will deal with the ability to use the proper methodology and instrument selection to research and diagnose an issue.

Ethical/Legal/Professional Issues: This section tests what the candidate has retained about the code of ethics, profession standards for the practice and legal laws regarding Psychology.
