MTTC Fine Arts Test Study Guide
MTTC Fine Arts Test is conducted to grant certification to eligible candidates. After getting this certification, candidate gets the permission to teach Fine Arts in Michigan State. Score of Michigan Tests for Teacher Certification Fine Arts Test is valid for five years. Candidate needs to prove his proficiency in general subjects also other than core subjects. Candidate needs to pass in all the three sections to get the certification from the board.
Eligibility for MTTC Fine Arts Test
Candidate should meet all the eligibility requirements of the education board to appear for MTTC Fine Arts Test. Following are the conditions of the education board:-
- Candidate should have bachelor degree from state/national university
- Candidate should have specialization in the subject from state approved college.
- Candidate should have three years of teaching experience (required only for out of state applicants)
Minimum Age prescribed by the education department of Michigan is 21 years. Candidate should get passing marks in MTTC Fine Arts Test to get certification from the board.
Format of MTTC Fine Arts Test
MTTC Fine Arts Test includes multiple choice questions. Scoring of MTTC Fine Arts Test is done on the scale of 300, out of which 220 are the minimum marks required to get the certification. Total duration for completing the exam is 270 minutes.
Apart from MTTC Fine Arts Test, candidate also needs to appear for MTTC Basic Skills Exam. MTTC Basic Skills Exam includes three sections:-
- Reading
- Writing
- Mathematics
There are 85 multiple choice questions and one subjective question in the Basic Skills exam.
