MTTC Communication Arts Test is conducted to give credentials to eligible candidates by Michigan Department of Education. Eligibility for MTTC Communication Arts Test

To appear for MTTC Communication Arts Test, applicant should meet following eligibility conditions listed by the education board:-

• Applicant should have bachelor degree from state or national university
• Applicant should have specialization in the subject
• Applicant should be of 21 years of age.
• For out of state applicants, three years of teaching experience in respective field is required to get the certification.

Format of MTTC Communication Arts Test

The exam consists of multiple choice questions questions from the subjects mentioned below :-

• Communication and its meaning verbal and non verbal language etc.
• Literature and its importance verbal, written literature, responsibility of a journalist etc.
• Crafting and its genre forms of communication, informative and message etc.
• Processing and skills required effective communication, preparing various types of messages etc.

The exam is scored on the scale of 300, out of which 220 are the minimum marks, required to get the certification. The total duration for completing the test is 270 minutes.

MTTC Basic Skills Exam is a complementary exam which a candidate needs to give to prove his proficiency in the three basic fields which are:-

• Reading
• Writing
• Mathematics

If the candidate falls short of the marks in the exam, then he is liable to reappear in the same exam after certain period of time.
