MEAP - Michigan Educational Assessment Program Study Guide

The Michigan educational assessment program is formally known as the MEAP. This exam is recognized nationally to measure the students academic achievement levels. All students are measured on the same parameters, so it allows the parents and the teachers to know how well their students are performing in their academics and can help them recognize the areas where they really need to work hard.

MEAP - Michigan Educational Assessment Program Format

The Michigan Educational Assessment Program contains both objective and subjective questions. The scoring is made in four levels including non proficient, basic, good and advanced, demarcating the level of knowledge that the students have demonstrated in the MEAP exam.

The MEAP exam consists of following four sections:

Language Art
Reading Comprehension
Science
Mathematics

The Language Art section tests the skills of the candidate. This may test their vocabulary, their sentence formation skills. The Reading section asks the candidates to answer question followed by the given paragraphs. The Mathematics section includes the mathematical problems categorized according to different grades. This section may range question from a simple Mathematical problems to advance level algebra and geometry problems. The Science section evaluates the candidate's knowledge regarding physical and chemical sciences.
