GACE Biology Exam Study Guide

Eligibility of GACE Biology Exam

To appear in GACE Biology Exam, candidate needs to have bachelor degree and a certification from the state approved college. On fulfilling this condition candidate can gets renewable certification. If the candidate is not having any of the certification, then he has to get enrolled with the state run program first and then have to apply for the certification. Through this process candidate is supposed to get the renewable certification.

Format of GACE Biology Exam

GACE Biology Exam measures the candidates competencies and efficiencies to teach the biology subject. GACE Biology Exam includes two sub tests. Structure of tests is given below:-

Sub test I

Subjects:-

Structure of cells :- Objective questions -30 and subjective question - 1

Heredity and genetics :- Objective questions -30 and subjective question - 1

Sub test II

Subjects:-

Properties of Organisms :- Objective questions -24 and subjective question - 0

Ecology :- Objective questions -18 and subjective question - 1

Science foundations and technology :- Objective questions -18 and subjective question - 1

In scoring both the sub tests, 80% weightage is given to objective questions and 20% weightage is given to subjective questions. Candidate needs to practice these questions nicely to get the fair marks in the tests. Scoring of GACE Biology Exam is done on the scale of 300, out of which 220 are the minimum marks required for get the certification.
