Certificate Examination for Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) and Certified Midwives (CMs)
The purpose of the national certification examination is to test an individual's entry-level competence to practice.
After completing the certification examination successfully the candidate receives either a certificate in nurse-midwifery (CNM) or midwifery (CM). The expiry date of the certificate is December 31st of the fifth year following the date of issue.
