Format of ABCTE General Science Exam

This exam conducted by ABCTE is objective and impulsive. This exam carries topics from general science as a whole. Biology, chemistry, physics being the branches, is supposed to be covered more extensively. Topics of scientific investigation, earth sciences are of real importance. Other than this zoology, botany, physiology, kinematics, electromagnetism, periodicity, atomicity, organic compounds, evolution, etc. These topics carry unequal weightage and candidate should prepare it accordingly. The exam carries 145 questions for which total duration is 240 minutes. The questions are objective type that is multiple choices and hence revolves around the specific topics of general science. The entire score is converted on the scale of 500. To get certification as a proficient teacher candidate must score atleast 251 out of 500. To get certified as a distinguished teacher candidate must atleast score 320 out of 500. Tools like periodic table and standard calculator will be provided to the examinees.
